Jansey
“Jones” Silva

A global combat sports athlete — forged across three continents, built on resilience, and tested in the world’s most hostile arenas.

About

The definition of a global combat sports athlete.

Standing at 1.91m (6′3″) and competing in the elite middleweight division, Jansey “Jones” Silva’s trajectory wasn’t built under the bright lights alone — it was forged on a foundation of pure resilience, traveling the globe to test his skills against the toughest opponents in the world’s most hostile environments.

Born and raised in a favela in Rio de Janeiro, he grew up without a father — one of three children his mother raised alone, amid the drugs, guns, and violence of the streets. Martial arts saved his life. He joined a social program in his community at nine years old, and he hasn’t stopped since.

The journey

Forged across three continents.

  1. Brazil — Origins

    Where it all began

It began in a social program in the favela where he lived — nine years old, with the discipline of the mat as his anchor. That structure became a way out, and the resilience it built would go on to carry him across three continents.

  2. Thailand — Muay Thai

    Forged in the Spartan camps

Seeking the ultimate evolution of his striking, Jansey moved to Thailand — living the Spartan routine of the local camps and absorbing traditional Muay Thai at its source. He rose to become a champion in the very country where the sport was born, going 20-1 in the discipline.

  3. China — The Asian circuit

    Crossing borders

His Asian journey carried him across another border into China, competing under pure striking rules deep in his opponent’s backyard. He met the pressure head-on and walked away a kickboxing champion.

  4. Russia — The litmus test

    Bare knuckle on Russian soil

If there was any doubt about his grit, it was erased in Russia — home to one of the toughest, most technical, and brutal combat scenes on the planet. Stepping into the ring with bare fists there demands a mental fortress that few athletes in the world possess.

  5. USA — The global stage

    Contender Series, LFA & DBX

In the United States, Jansey stepped onto the sport’s biggest stages — earning his place on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2021, one step away from the UFC, and challenging for the LFA (Legacy Fighting Alliance) middleweight title. Sharing the cage at that level puts him among the global elite. He carried that experience into the Dirty Boxing Championship (DBX), where his debut — a knockout hailed as one of the best fights in the promotion’s history — announced his arrival.
